Nashville Predators center Colton Sissons will be able to play Sunday night in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final after the NHL decided against suspending him.

The NHL reviewed Sissons' cross-check of Penguins defenseman Olli Maatta's face inside the final minute of Thursday night's 6-0 win by Pittsburgh. Sissons was given a match penalty, triggering an automatic review. Not having Sissons would have been a blow to Nashville's depth at forward, with center Ryan Johansen and left winger Kevin Fiala out injured.

The league announced its decision on Twitter on Friday.

Sissons' penalty was one of 14 given to the Predators, with 10 handed out to Pittsburgh for a total of 100 penalty minutes.

Flyers sign defender

The Philadelphia Flyers signed defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere to a $27 million, six-year contract extension.

The 24-year-old Gostisbehere had seven goals and 39 points in 76 games this season, a drop-off from a sensational rookie season.

He'll have a salary cap hit of $4.5 million and earn $6 million in salary each of the first two years of the deal. He'll get $5.5 million in 2019-20 and $3.25 million in the final two years.

Gostisbehere had 17 goals and 46 points as rookie and was runner-up in Calder Trophy voting.

• The Columbus Blue Jackets signed backup goalie Joonas Korpisalo of Finland to a two-year contract extension. The 23-year-old was a backup last season to Sergei Bobrovsky.
