Here we go again, folks! A storm will start producing snow over the northern Plains Saturday. Early in its life cycle, the storm will be poorly organized and lack moisture, so snow amounts will be on the light side. Populations of the northern Plains will not consider this to be a big deal.

Far south and east, it appears the storm will get cranked up a bit, and it will start producing somewhat greater snow amounts later in the weekend from Missouri toward Kentucky.

How will this storm affect the snowbound mid-Atlantic region? I'll get into the details about that in the very next story.
