A New Prague man missing for two weeks has been found dead in his SUV about 20 miles from his home, authorities said Sunday.
“No foul play is suspected” in the death of Tony Slavik, 31, LeSueur County Sheriff David Tietz said in a statement.
Hikers in the Chadderdon State Wildlife Management Area saw Slavik in the SUV late Saturday afternoon and notified the Sheriff’s Office, Tietz said.
Slavik was reported missing on July 18 after he left his home, prompting New Prague police to issue a missing person alert. There was a sense of urgency in finding him because of his health as he awaited a kidney transplant.
The Ramsey County medical examiner’s office will make a determination on what led to Slavik’s death.
