Felicia Nelson, a senior forward at St. Cloud State and Zuzana Tomcikova, a sophomore goalie for Bemidji State, were named WCHA women's co-players of the year Thursday.

Gophers sophomore Anne Schleper was selected the league's defensive player of the year, and league scoring leader Hokey Langan of Ohio State was rookie of the year.

The outstanding student athlete is St. Cloud senior winger Caitlin Hogan. Steve Sertich of Bemidji State was named coach of the year.

Interestingly, neither Nelson nor Tomcikova made the All-WCHA first team. The all-league forwards are Natalie Spooner of Ohio State, Emmanuelle Blais of UMD and Emily West of the Gophers; defensemen are Schleper and UMD's Jaime Rasmussen; and Gophers freshman goalie Noora Raty.

The all-league second team includes forwards Nelson, Langan, Holly Roberts of St. Cloud and Laura Fridfinnson of UMD; defensemen Megan Bozek of the Gophers and Rachel Davis of Ohio State; and Tomcikova.

The third team has forwards Brooke Ammerman of Wisconsin and Caitlin Hogan of St. Cloud; defensemen Montana Vichoerk of Bemidji State and Stefanie McKeough of Wisconsin; and UMD goalie Jennifer Harss.

The all-rookie team includes Langan, Katherine Wilson of UMD and Brianne Decker of Wisconsin at forward; Megan Bozek of the Gophers and Stefanie McKeough of Wisconsin on defense; and Raty.
