Rust and Neil Young never sleep. The rock icon will kick off an eight-week North American tour Oct. 14 at St. Paul's Xcel Energy Center. It will be his second Twin Cities performance in the past year; he played a soldout concert in November at Northrop Auditorium. Opening will be Death Cab for Cutie and Everest. Tickets will cost $75 for general admission on the main floor and $45 to $250 for reserved seats. It will be the "theater" set-up, meaning the band will play to the arena's bowl end. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at the Xcel box office and Ticketmaster.
In other concert news, the Hold Steady will return to First Avenue Nov. 15-16 with the Drive-By Truckers.
