GAME RECAP
Star Tribune's three stars
1. Amanda Leveille, Gophers: She made several big saves to keep high-powered B.C. scoreless in the first and second periods. Finished with 32 stops.
2. Sarah Potomak, Gophers: The freshman scored 13 seconds into the game, setting the tone, and assisted on the second goal.
3. Amanda Kessel, Gophers: She had a team-high six shots, including the slapshot that made it 2-0 in the third period.
Look ahead
The Gophers have big holes to fill heading into next season. Departing seniors include Leveille, Kessel and Hannah Brandt, their all-time points leader. They also need to replace versatile senior Brooke Garzone and Milica McMillen, whose 44 goals are second-most all-time for a Gophers defenseman, behind Megan Bozek. Some of the key returnees include Potomak, Lee Stecklein and Dani Cameranesi, who led the WCHA in points this season with 68.
