North Korea sanctions bill passes

The Senate unanimously passed legislation aimed at denying North Korea the money it needs to build a nuclear arsenal. The sanctions bill also authorizes $50 million to transmit radio broadcasts into North Korea, purchase communications gear and support humanitarian programs.


RFK assassin is denied parole again

For the 15th time, officials denied parole for Sirhan Sirhan, the assassin of Sen. Robert F. Kennedy. Parole commissioners concluded that Sirhan did not show adequate remorse or understand the enormity of his crime.
