On Wednesday, distance running organizations throughout the U.S. will celebrate the first National Running Day. Six free fun runs/walks will be held in the Twin Cities, with elite athletes from Team USA Minnesota participating in each one. They begin at 6 p.m. at the following sites:
• Kenwood Park, Minneapolis
• Como Park Lakeside Pavilion, St. Paul
• Life Time Fitness centers in St. Louis Park and St. Paul's Highland Park
• Running Room, 1068 Grand Ave., St. Paul
• Marathon Sports, 2312 W. 50th St., Minneapolis
