Preview: The No. 6 seed Stars defeated No. 2 seed Tampa Bay 2-0 Oct. 20 at the National Sports Center in Blaine. Game 2 of the two-game, total-goal series determines whether the defending NASL champion Stars repeat. The Stars head to Florida with a two-goal finals lead for the second consecutive season.
