SPCO RETURNS TO ACTION

Thursday-Saturday: The St. Paul Chamber Orchestra is back! The air is certain to be emotionally charged as musicians return to perform the final concerts of their season, following a lockout of more than seven months. This week, Thomas Zehetmair will conduct waltzes by Arnold Schoenberg, and two Mozart selections: the overture to "The Marriage of Figaro" and the composer's Symphony No. 39. In addition, cellist Steven Isserlis will play the Schumann Cello Concerto with the ensemble. Call ahead or check the website for tickets; they may be scarce given the heightened interest in this program. (7:30 p.m. Thu., Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 12650 Johnny Cake Ridge Rd., Apple Valley; 10:30 a.m. & 8 p.m. Fri., Wooddale Church, 6630 Shady Oak Rd., Eden Prairie; 8 p.m. Sat., United Church of Christ, 900 Summit Av., St. Paul. $5-$25. 651-291-1144.)
