ST. PAUL CHAMBER ORCHESTRA

Friday-Saturday: Conductor Matthias Pintscher leads the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra in music spanning three centuries this week. The talents of SPCO flutist Julia Bogorad-Kogan are showcased in the elegant dances of Bach's Orchestral Suite No. 2. Another version of Bach is presented in Anton Webern's pointillist interpretation of the Ricercare from "The Musical Offering." This is preceded by a suite from Stravinsky's Neoclassical ballet, "Pulcinella." The program concludes with Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 4, "Italian," one of the brightest and most joyous works in the repertoire. (10:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. Fri., 8 p.m. Sat., Ordway Center, 345 Washington St., St. Paul, $42-$12, 651-291-1144, thespco.org.)
