The Ghost Writer (PG-13) A ghostwriter hired to complete the memoirs of a former British prime minister (Pierce Brosnan) uncovers secrets that put his own life in jeopardy in this thriller from Roman Polanski.

Saint John of Las Vegas (R) An ex-gambler (Steve Buscemi) is lured back into the game by an insurance-fraud investigator.
