Movie review: 'Young @ Heart' a heartwarming show

You'd have to have a heart of coal not to smile at this documentary about a New England senior-citizens chorus that covers songs by James Brown, Coldplay and other pop icons. The film is as cute and playful as you would think. But when a member passes away, the documentary has as much to say about these old-timers' lives -- and their resiliency -- as it does about rocking choral music. Nowadays, movies rarely star anyone over 70. But here's one that does, and you'll be clapping in your seat about it. (Showing daily, Edina Theater, 3911 W. 50th St., Edina. 651-649-4416.)
