The Hennepin County medical examiner’s office has identified the motorcyclist who died in a Rosemount crash Wednesday evening as Clive Christian Jorgensen, 57, of Eagan.
Jorgensen was driving a 2009 Yamaha RS motorcycle east on Hwy. 55 near County Road 42 just before 7:30 p.m. when he swerved to avoid an eastbound box truck turning south onto County Road 42.
The motorcycle then hit head-on a 2014 Chevy Malibu headed west on Hwy. 55. The car’s driver, Ralph Whitfield Ransom, 73, and his passenger, Cheryl Jean Ransom, 70, both of Bloomington, were not injured.
Murphy Antoine Cantrelle, 56, of Apple Valley, who was driving the truck, was not injured.
The Minnesota State Patrol and the medical examiner are investigating.
