Mortgage closing costs in Minnesota sixth-lowest in the nation

Average closing costs nationwide were up 6 percent compared with last year

Mortgage closing costs in Minnesota were the sixth-lowest in the nation this year, according to an annual analysis by Bankrate.com. The group said that origination fees and third-party fees in Minnesota were $2,253 versus $2,402 nationwide. Across the country, such fees were up six-percent increase over last year. Closing costs were highest in Hawaii and the lowest in Wisconsin. Here's a link to the full list and details about the survey.
