RALEIGH, N.C. - More than 2,000 people won a North Carolina lottery game last weekend with the number 2-2-2-2.

They were the winning numbers in Saturday's Carolina Pick 4 game.

The lottery will be paying $7.4 million to the winners. The game's record payout came in August at $7.5 million for 1-1-1-1.

Lottery spokesman Ryan Kennemur says the average payout for the game has been just under $67,000.

Those with the winning tickets Saturday night won either $5,000 or $2,500, depending on whether they paid $1 or 50 cents for their tickets.

The odds of picking the correct Pick 4 numbers are 1 in 10,000.

Winners have 180 days to claim their prizes.
