More bad news?: Ridnour misses Monday practice, examined in LA

Veteran guard's hamstring continues to be an issue

November 9, 2010 at 8:49AM

Point guard Luke Ridnour missed Monday afternoon's practice at the Lakers' training facility in El Segundo and instead was examined by a doctor in the Los Angeles area, presumably to see if his ailing hamstring is more than strained.

"Obviously, his hamstring has been bothering him for a while," Kurt Rambis said. "It has probably reached its peak. We've got to get it resolved. We've got to get him back healthy and not thinking about it."

More should be known on Tuesday.

If he does not play Tuesday night against the Lakers, that'll leave shooting guard Wayne Ellington and Maurice Ager backing up backup Sebastian Telfair.

Jonny Flynn's return soon could help things there at point guard, but it's not clear yet whether his return to just days or a couple weeks away yet.

Also, here's the link to a "Wolves Insider" piece I wrote for Tuesday's paper looking at the big picture after another lopsided road loss Sunday in Houston:

That's all from L.A. today.
