ROCHESTER, Minn. — A woman who authorities say shoplifted at a Rochester mall after arriving in a limousine has been sentenced to 50 days in jail.

The Post-Bulletin (http://bit.ly/1WsM91q ) reports 22-year-old Karina Kay Bourcy of Moorhead pleaded guilty Friday to fifth-degree assault and theft. She received credit for 47 days served.

A complaint says Bourcy fought with security at an Apache Mall sporting goods store in August before running away with about $300 in merchandise. Authorities say the limo's driver stopped and asked police searching for a shoplifting suspect who they were looking for, and told them it might be the woman who just called for a ride back to Kahler Grand Hotel.

Police say officers followed the driver to the pickup spot and arrested Bourcy. The complaint says she told police she was in Rochester as a personal care assistant for someone seeking medical treatment.
