Kluber struck out 12 and allowed five hits and one run while walking one in nine innings. Sale gave up one run on four hits over eight innings

•TORONTO 10, LOS ANGELES 6: Jose Bautista homered and drove in three runs as the host Blue Jays ended a season-worst five-game losing streak.

•OAKLAND 2, HOUSTON 1: Brett Lawrie hit a tiebreaking RBI single in the sixth as the visiting Athletics stopped a four-game losing streak.


Mets blow late lead, top Cards in extras

•NEW YORK 2, ST. LOUIS 1 (14): John Mayberry Jr. had a pinch RBI infield hit with one out in the bottom of the 14th inning, lifting the Mets after they blew another late lead for Matt Harvey. Lucas Duda beat a shifted, drawn-in infield with an opposite-field hit for a run-scoring single off John Lackey in the fourth, but Jason Heyward had a sacrifice fly in the ninth off closer Jeurys Familia as the Mets wasted another 1-0 lead for their ace.

•PHILADELPHIA 4, COLORADO 3: Cole Hamels pitched into the eighth and Odubel Herrera broke a tie in the sixth with a two-run double as the visiting Phillies won their sixth straight game.

•ARIZONA 3, MIAMI 2 (13): David Peralta hit a two-out RBI double in the 13th inning to lead visiting Arizona.


Back from beaning, Gomez lifts Brewers
