Twin Cities fashion enthusiasts will have a catwalk view of the latest looks when spring styles from local designers and boutiques hit the runway this week.

The biannual MNfashion Week returns Friday with eight days of events showing off the local fashion scene.

Highlights include the popular "The Shows," two runway events featuring local designers like Nicole Larson (dress shown below) Samantha Rei, TIM + THOM, Max Lohrbach, Kjurek, and Christopher Straub.

The Emerging Designer Showcase also returns Feb. 18 to put the work of some of the Twin Cities' up-and-coming designers on display.

"Many people are not aware of the fact that we are a nonprofit that works to support local designers in all areas of the fashion business," said managing director Tara Murphy. "All the work and services we provide designers with is 100 percent volunteer-based and donation-driven. None of us take home a stipend or any free clothing. We are all simply lovers of fashion and believe in our local designers."
