— Dodgers second baseman Chase Utley, announcing he will retire at the end of his 16th season at age 39.

GAME OF NUMBERS

9

Philadelphia relievers to record a save this season, tying a franchise record, after Park Center product Pat Neshek earned his first of 2018 Friday with a 1-2-3 ninth against Washington.

8

Career victories for Northfield native Jake Petricka, who earned his first with Toronto with two shutout innings in relief at Boston on Friday.

ON THE SHELF

Albert Pujols

DH • L.A. Angels
