"This is really good to celebrate this, at home, in my 100th start for the Blue Jays. It's really poetic."

— Blue Jays knuckleballer R.J. Dickey after beating Tampa Bay 5-3 Friday for his 100th career win, which also clinched Toronto at least a wild-card spot in the playoffs.

GAME OF NUMBERS

Power with speed

Aaron Altherr

OF, Phillies

The rookie hit the first inside-the-park grand slam in the majors in 16 years and a solo homer, as Philadelphia beat Washington 8-2. The Phillies trailed 1-0 in the third when Altherr hit a low liner to center with the bases loaded. Michael Taylor missed on a diving catch. "Heart stopped a little bit," Altherr said. "And then I saw it go by, and I was like, `Oh man, I might have a chance here.' Just tried to run as fast as I could."
