Hey, y'all. Just a quick blog today.

While Wild coach Bruce Boudreau said Wednesday he was hopeful winger Nino Niederreiter would practice Thursday at Xcel Energy Center, the forward was not on the ice for the training session.

"From what I gather, he's skating tomorrow," Boudreau said after practice Thursday. "So I mean, he's out this weekend. But hopefully at some point next week, we'd get him back."

Niederreiter left the Dec. 22 game at the Florida Panthers in the first period with a left foot or ankle injury and has missed two games for the Wild. With the back-to-back with the Nashville Predators starting 7 p.m. Friday at Xcel Energy Center before the rematch 7 p.m. Saturday at Nashville, Niederreiter might not return until the Jan. 2 home game also against Florida.

Also, Zach Parise wasn't at practice since he is likely to play tonight for the Iowa Wild on his rehab assignment. Will be his first game this season. It's at 7 p.m. in Des Moines against the Rockford IceHogs. You can listen to the game here, I believe.

"If I'm not watching it, I guarantee you I'll be getting updates every 10 minutes," Boudreau said.

Here were the lines at practice, btw. Nothing out of the ordinary. Also, looked like Ryan Suter and Jared Spurgeon were reunited as a D-pair, as were Jonas Brodin and Matt Dumba. Nate Prosser, Mike Reilly and Gustav Olofsson rotated in the third pair.
