ST. PAUL, Minn. — The stadium for Minnesota's professional soccer team will be converted to a ballot return location in the days leading up to the election, team and Ramsey County officials said Thursday.

Allianz Field, home to the MInnesota United, will be accepting ballots on Oct. 29, 30 and 31, as well as on Nov. 2. The election is scheduled Nov. 3.

“It is so important to provide accessible voting options to registered voters, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic and we believe Allianz Field is easily accessible to our community, whether via car, light rail, bus or on foot," Minnesota United CEO Chris Wright in a statement.

The stadium will follow social distancing guidelines and provide free masks and hand sanitizer.
