Minnesota State loses in semifinals of D-II World Series

Indiana Southern edged Minnesota State Mankato 4-3 on Friday in the NCAA Division II World Series semifinals in Cary, N.C..

MSU Mankato (48-11) took a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Nolan Johnson's single gave the Mavericks a 1-0 lead. Stetson Olson's two-run single made it 3-0.

But the Screaming Eagles rallied for four runs in the bottom of the fourth. Their go-ahead run scored on an outfield error.

Indiana Southern will play Colorado Mesa at 6 p.m. Saturday in the title game.
