The Gophers fell behind early and lost 10-2 in baseball to Nebraska on Sunday in Lincoln, Neb.

A four-run third gave the Cornhuskers (11-4) a 5-0 lead, and they tacked on three more in the seventh, courtesy of two bases-loaded walks and a hit batter.

Andrew Wilhite drove in the Gophers' runs on a two-run single in the eighth.

U blanks Maryland

McKenna Buisman scored two minutes into the game, give the Gophers a 1-0 soccer victory over Maryland on the team's senior day. Minnesota (5-3-2) outshot Maryland (0-8-2) 9-4.

Auggies at trials

Augsburg women's wrestlers Marlynne Deede and Emily Shilson and two former Augsburg men's wrestlers have qualified for the U.S team trials for this summer's Tokyo Olympics.

Deede, an Auggies sophomore, placed second at 76 kilograms (167 pounds), clinching one of 15 spots in the weight class at the trials, set for Friday and Saturday in Fort Worth, Texas.

Shilson already had qualified for the trials with her fourth-place finish at 50 kg (110 pounds) at the 2019 USA Wrestling Senior Nationals.

Mike Fuenffinger, a two-time NCAA Division III champion, will wrestle at 60 kg (132 pounds) in Greco-Roman. Donny Longendyke, the 2015 NCAA Division III heavyweight national champion and a two-time NCAA runner-up during his Auggies career, will be competing his second Olympic Trials.

Gophers women edged in tennis

The Gophers women's tennis team (3-10) lost 4-3 to Illinois, with fZeyneb Sarioglan falling in three sets to Illinois' Sasha Belaya 6-3, 4-6, 3-6 in the dual's final match. Illinois (6-7) won two of the final three singles matches.
