Wally Ellenson, basketball player and track athlete for the Gophers, won a gold medal in the high jump Sunday at the Pan American Junior Games in Medellin, Colombia.
Ellenson took the top spot with a jump of 7 feet, 0½ inches. That's the same height he cleared when he finished second at the USA Junior Outdoor championships and qualified for the Pan Am Junior Games.
