Seniors Harun Abda and Travis Burkstrand and freshman Wally Ellenson claimed first-team All-America honors for the Gophers on Friday at the NCAA outdoor track and field championships in Eugene, Ore.

In his final collegiate event, Abda picked up his 13th overall All-America honor with a fourth-place finish in the 800 meters in 1 minute, 47.6 seconds. Burkstrand placed eighth (1:48.24).

Ellenson tied for eighth in the high jump at 7 feet, 2½ inches, becoming the first Gopher to earn All-America honors in the outdoor high jump since Kevin Netzer in 2004.
