Andy Bisek, a Chaska native and member of the Minnesota Storm wrestling club, won a bronze medal for the second year in a row Monday in the Greco-Roman 75-kilogram class at the world championships in Las Vegas.
Bisek defeated Saeid Morad Abdvali of Iran 2-0 for third place. Bisek's medal in 2014 was the first for the U.S. in Greco-Roman wrestling at an Olympics or world championship since 2009.
His finish qualified the U.S. for the 75-kilogram Greco-Roman competition at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Jordan Holm of Minneapolis, also of the Minnesota Storm, will compete in the 85-kilogram Greco-Roman class on Wednesday.
