Minnesota's school nurses face growing workloads and complex demands
Today's school nurses are dealing with a soaring number of kids with severe allergies and asthma, diabetes, complex needs like heart defects and feeding tubes, and mental health concerns. In many districts, nurses are responsible for thousands of students -- and many Minnesota schools and districts lack any licensed school nurse at all.
