Meet Minnesota's next reality star. Faatemah Ampey of Bella Salon in Edina will compete on the third season of "Shear Genius," a reality competition show for hairstylists. Earlier this year, the Aveda-trained stylist won a North American Hairstyling Award (NAHA) for "fashion-forward." Locally, she has styled Angela Davis of WCCO and Robyne Robinson of Fox 9 and worked with Horst Rechelbacher. The show will debut on Feb. 3 on Bravo with new host/model Camila Alves (Matthew McConaughey's significant other), replacing Jaclyn Smith. After winning the NAHA award, Ampey alluded to her big TV break. "This is only the beginning. What's next is going to put Minneapolis on the map!" she said.
