LIVE FROM LONDON
Everyone arrived safely, was the word from the Minnesota Orchestra in London. Musicians, friends and family embarked on their 10-day tour of Europe with a planned date at the Barbican Centre on Tuesday night. The program highlight is guest artist Joshua Bell playing Samuel Barber's Violin Concerto. The orchestra will also perform John Adams' "Slonimsky's Earbox" and Beethoven's "Eroica" symphony.
Led by Music Director Osmo Vänskä, the group moves to Berlin on Wednesday.
Minnesota audiences can listen to the Barbican concert Wednesday on BBC Radio 3 at about 1 p.m. Central Time. In addition, live updates, photos and videos can be found at the orchestra's e-tour site.
