Richard Pitino has been filling up the Gophers' available scholarships quickly.

Joey King, who played at Drake last season, tweeted on Sunday that he will become the fourth recruit Pitino has wooed to the University of Minnesota since taking the job in April. His tweet read:

The 6-9, 219 King is from Minnesota originally, attending Eastview High School. He played one year at Drake, averaging 6.9 points and 2.9 rebounds in 19 minutes a game. He was named to the Missouri Valley Conference all-freshman team. King had been seeking a transfer due to family reasons and it is possible that he could get a waiver, to that end, that would make him eligible right away.

With King joining the Gophers, they gain two notable things: Pitino's first big man recruit (he has otherwise signed three guards) and a Minnesotan on the roster (after Coleman transferred, there were no longer any "locals").

The Gophers still have one scholarship available.
