The Bulldogs (4-0), ranked No. 5 in the d2football.com poll, trailed 21-13 early in the fourth quarter.
Bauer's 12-yard pass to Ricci with 10 minutes, 43 seconds left got the Bulldogs within two, 21-19. They teamed up on a 15-yard TD pass with 7:22 left to put the Bulldogs in the lead.
Bauer passed for 151 yards and three touchdowns. Jack Nelson passed for 274 yards and three TDs for Winona (3-1).
Minnesota State Mankato 34, Bemidji State 16: After falling behind 10-0 in the first quarter, the No. 3 Mavericks scored 34 unanswered points to take an NSIC victory in Bemidji, Minn., over the Beavers (0-4).
Ricky Lloyd passed for 200 yards and two touchdowns for lead the Mavericks (4-0).
Upper Iowa 37, St. Cloud State 31: Chris Smith's 208 rushing yards and three touchdowns helped the Peacocks (4-0) outlast the Huskies in St. Cloud. Ledell White rushed for 129 yards and three TDs for the Huskies (1-3).
Smith scored on a 19-yard run with 5 seconds remaining that capped an eight-play, 75-yard drive.
