Minnesota Duluth coach Scott Sandelin, whose team won its second consecutive NCAA title Saturday, was named coach of the U.S. national junior team, USA Hockey announced Tuesday.

The U.S. team will take part in the 2020 IIHF World Junior Championship from Dec. 26 to Jan. 5 in the Czech Republic.

Sandelin was the head coach of the 2005 team and an assistant on the 2012 and 2019 teams. The U.S. team finished second in the last tournament.
