Minnesota Blogger Volunteer Event

Here's an opportunity for Minnesota bloggers to get together. May and I will be there along with many other familiar names and faces in the local blogging community. Thanks to Missy from themarketingmama.com for organizing the event. Many of us have been talking about having a local blogger get-together.

Here's what she had to say.

Rather than simply meeting up for drinks somewhere to chat about blogging, let's DO SOMETHING together (while chatting about our blogging!). Something meaningful that extends the connection we already have and gives us the opportunity to help others. Through our blogs we leave our footprints on the internet, let's make our footprints more global by volunteering together.

Spend 1.5 hours packing meals at Feed My Starving Children

8 - 9:30 p.m.

For those who would like to spend more time networking and getting to know your fellow Minnesota bloggers, join us for an informal gathering before the event beginning at 6 p.m. We'll meet at a restaurant nearby the FMSC Eagan location so we can easily hop on over in time for our shift starting at 8 p.m. We're still working out the exact details, so stay tuned for more info on this. And yes, you can expect to wear name tags!
