Minneapolis school board candidates will take part Monday in the sole forum before this month's primary elections.

The voter forum is scheduled for 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Plymouth Congregational Church, 1900 Nicollet Av. S.

Two school board races will have primaries on Aug. 14. One is the citywide race in which incumbent Carla Bates is challenged by Willis G. Trueblood, Doug Mann and Janice Mae Harmon. The other is the District 4 race for an area stretching from downtown to Lake of the Isles, Cedar Lake and Lake Calhoun. The candidates there are Josh Reimnitz, William Lange and Patricia Wycoff.

Although they will not appear on the primary ballot, unopposed candidates Tracine Asberry in southwest Minneapolis and Kim Ellison in north Minneapolis also have been invited to the forum.

For those unsure of which is their district, a map can be found at www.startribune.com/a1580. Board members for the three districts in the eastern half of the city were elected in 2010.
