Minneapolis police were investigating an apparent homicide in the Willard-Hay neighborhood on the city’s North Side on Tuesday afternoon, a police spokesman said.

The male victim, whose name and age haven’t been released, was found about 12:20 p.m. slumped behind the wheel of a car in the 1000 block of Sheridan Avenue N., according to police spokesman Scott Seroka. He was dead at the scene, Seroka said. He had no further details about the incident.

The death, which police are treating as a homicide, would be Minneapolis’ second slaying of the year.

In the first homicide of2016, 20-year-old James Bills died after being shot at a New Year’s Eve party in the Marcy-Holmes neighborhood. There have been no arrests in that case.
