A new jewelry collection launching next week in Minneapolis blends fashion with social awareness.

Created by longtime corporate industry veteran, Anne Lenhardt Koebele, her Equal Hardt Collection is dedicated to raising awareness and promoting acceptance through jewelry. Hardt Jewelry has partnered with Reclaim, a Minneapolis organization that specializes in mental and integrative health support of LGBT youth. Proceeds of the Equal Hardt Necklace sales will go to therapy for young people and their families, training for practitioners, plus community partnerships.

The Equal Hardt Necklace ($70) has an angular heart charm engraved with an equal sign, "a universal symbol understood to be a statement of identity and support," Lenhardt Koebele said.

Launch party: 5:30-8:30 p.m., Thu., Alibi Salon, 401 N. 3rd St., No. 100, Mpls. Guests will receive 15 percent off purchases at the event, along with the chance to win giveaways.
