Minneapolis could host an NCAA Final Four once again due to the new Vikings stadium.

The NCAA announced the city is a finalist for the 2017-2020 men's Final Four. Minneapolis has previously hosted the final four in 1992 and 2001 at the Metrodome.

Along with Minneapolis, Atlanta, Indianapolis, New Orleans, North Texas, Phoenix/Glendale, San Antonio and St. Louis are among the eight finalists. Each city will make in-person presentations during the NCAA's fall meetings with the winning bids to be announced in November.

The Vikings and the state of Minnesota also started the campaign to bring the 2018 Super Bowl to the city.
