College: Kansas, where he was a starter on 1988 championship team that became known as "Danny (Manning) and the Miracles."

Pro career: Played for Rockford and Grand Rapids in the Continental Basketball Association and in Belgium and Australia.

As an executive: Helped get the NBA Developmental League off the ground before spending 10 years in the front office of the Washington Wizards. He joined the Timberwolves before the 2013-14 season as the organization's general manager.
