Mike Grant, two other St. John's alums finalists for football coaching job

St. John's University has named three finalists it its search to replace John Gagliardi as football coach: Eden Prairie High School coach Mike Grant, SJU assistant Gary Fasching and former Carleton coach Kurt Ramler.

All three are SJU alums and played under Gagliardi. The three finalists will each have one full day of on-campus interviews — Grant on Monday, Fasching Tuesday and Ramler Wednesday.

The on-campus visits will include a one-hour public forum.

The public forum schedule: Grant from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Alumni Lounge on the third floor of the SJU Quadrangular; Fasching from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in the J-Club Room in the Warner Palaestra; and Ramler from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in room 264 of the Quad.
