Outside of smart-mouthed turtles, a Buddha-esque giant rat and the unruly Foot Clan, the 1990 blockbuster smash "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" had two underlying components: pizza and a rap-centric soundtrack. The Uptown Theater is catering to the nostalgically ironic hearts of TMNT fans by not just screening the film, but by offering Pizza Luce's 'za and local duo Bight Club's rapping on Saturday to bring the midnight movie full circle. No word on whether Bight Club will take on Partners in Kryme's banging 1990 single "Turtle Power," but the duo will lead into the movie with a 30-minute set and accompanying sensory jarring by visual artist Time Squid.
