Stu offers up today's talker: Who do you, Vikings fan, root for this evening? (Meteor made out of bird flu is not an option.)

It's a fair question.

We're inclined to say you are a Bears fan if you are a Vikings fan, seeing as how the Packers seem like a more legitimate threat and a 3-0 Green Bay start (particularly with a win in Chicago) would be more damaging to the Vikings than a 3-0 Bears start.

Then again, the Bears (as noted by Clarence Swamptown) do have the feel of starting one of their annoying 13-3 seasons built on smoke and mirrors. Maybe it's better to knock them down a peg early?

Your thoughts, please, in the comments.

The Gophers played with more urgency, but it wasn’t enough to keep them from another conference sweep, and they lost LJ Mooney to injury in the process.
