No. 8 Michigan will be shorthanded against No. 10 Florida in the Peach Bowl.
Just not at quarterback.
Shea Patterson is returning for his senior season at Michigan instead of entering the NFL draft.
"There is absolutely nothing like playing in the Big House in front of the greatest fans in the country," Patterson posted Friday on Twitter. "I wouldn't trade those Saturdays competing with my brothers for anything."
A junior, Patterson was voted Michigan's offensive player of the year after transferring from Ole Miss and successfully appealing to the NCAA to play this season.
Patterson won't have the team's leading rusher on Dec. 29 in the Peach Bowl, and the defense will be without at least two of its top players. Senior running back Karan Higdon, junior linebacker Devin Bush and defensive end Rashan Gary are entering the draft and won't play against Florida.
Miami QB linked to explicit video
Miami quarterback N'Kosi Perry was caught in a social media firestorm Friday when the school newspaper reported on a sexually explicit 10-second video that was posted to Perry's Snapchat account Sept. 15. The school issued a statement saying it was aware of the video, which has been removed.
Friday's games
Florida International 35, Toledo 32: Anthony Jones rushed for three TDs, helping the Panthers (9-4) beat the Rockets (7-6) in the Bahamas Bowl on Nassau.
