MIAC: Gustavus' Hendricks sets TD pass record in win over Augsburg

Mitch Hendricks threw a MIAC-record seven touchdown passes Saturday in guiding Gustavus Adolphus to a 55-31 victory over Augsburg in Minneapolis.

Hendricks, who completed 33 of 39 passes for 504 yards, threw five touchdown passes in the second half as the Gusties (4-0, 2-0 MIAC) pulled away from a 20-10 halftime lead.

Matt Boyce caught 12 passes for 178 yards and three touchdowns and Gabriel Boyce caught 11 passes for 154 yards and two TDs for the Gusties, who had 597 yards in offense.

Ayrton Scott passed for 346 yards and three touchdowns for the Auggies (2-2, 1-1).

Bethel 38, Carleton 7: Bryce Marquardt and Brandon Marquardt each scored two touchdowns to lead the Royals, ranked No. 15 in the d3football.com poll, to a victory in Northfield, Minn., over the Knights (1-3, 0-2).

Bryce Marquardt caught a 22-yard TD pass and Brandon Marquardt scored on a 7-yard run in the first half as the Royals (2-1, 2-0) built a 24-0 halftime lead.

Brandon Marquardt returned the second half kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown.

Concordia (Moorhead) 52, St. Olaf 14: Griffin Neal passed for 272 yards and a touchdown and ran for a touchdown, leading the host Cobbers (4-0, 2-0) past the Oles (0-4, 0-2).
