Sweetland Orchard

Located: Webster, Minn.

Launched: June 2014.

Ciders: Scrumpy Original, Scrumpy Sweet, white winelike Scrumpy Gold and Northern Spy.

Where to buy: France 44, the Wine Thief and Ale Jail, Blue Max Liquors, Bacchus Wine and Spirits.

Four Daughters Vineyard and Winery

Located: Spring Valley, Minn.

Launched: August 2014.

Ciders: Loon Juice.

Where to buy: Mini kegs at the vineyard, France 44, Zipp's Liquors, South Lyndale Liquors, Sentyrz Market, Elevated Beer, Wine and Spirits. Cans coming in January.

Leidel's Cider

Located: La Crescent, Minn.

Launched: Early 2014.

Ciders: Earthy and musty Hebron estate cider, fermented with Brettanomyces.

Where to buy: Production has stalled, but we recently snagged a bottle at Surdyk's.

Milk & Honey Ciders

Located: Cold Spring, Minn.

Launched: May 2014.

Cider: Deftly balanced American Heirloom Cider 2013, blending 83 apple varieties.

Where to buy: Draft only at all Town Hall locations, St. Paul's Blue Door Pub, Happy Gnome and the White Horse in St. Cloud.

Sociable Cider Werks

Located: Northeast Minneapolis.

Launched: Late 2013.

Apple graffs: Freewheeler, the robust Hop-a-Wheelie and stout/cider mashup Spoke Wrench.

Where to buy: Growlers at the taproom and on tap at select Twin Cities and Duluth bars and restaurants.
