Meet the 2012 Mpls. Realtor of the Year

Emily Green of Sandy Green Realty takes the honors

Emily Green of Sandy Green Realty was named the 2012 Realtor of the Year by the Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors. Green, MAAR's 2013 president-elect, has been a member of the association for nearly 20 years and has served on several committees. Here's what MAAR had to say about her:

'She has served on numerous community organizations and nonprofit boards, including the MAAR Board of Directors and Executive Committee, and the Lowry Hill East Neighborhood Association Her volunteer experience includes the following programs: Habitat for Humanity International Disaster and Humanitarian Relief, Habitat for Humanity House Build in Mexico and Jamaica, an Orphanage Outreach in the Dominican Republic, Minnesota Association of REALTORS Disaster Relief in Grand Forks, Disaster Relief for Hurricane Katrina, Guardian Ad Litem Program for Hennepin County Social Services and the Minneapolis bike ride to raise money for AIDS research.

"Emily is undeniably committed to her community," said Andy Fazendin, MAAR President. "Her dedication to helping others carries over to her business."
