Already 72 percent leased

A $12 million medical office building is moving ahead in Plymouth.

BTO Development Corp., one of the main medical developers in the Twin Cities, recently closed on four acres of land at the intersection of 36th Avenue N. and Vicksburg Lane. The purchase price was $2.2 milllion.

Already 72 percent pre-leased, North Clinic and several specialty clinics will occupy the new 50,000-square-foot building. It's slated to open in late summer 2014.

"This new building is in a very strategic spot in Plymouth, one of the highest areas of population growth in the Northwest suburbs," said Gary Germundsen, of Colliers International, who represented BTO in the land purchase. "Its close proximity to a variety of medical buildings and other retail and office spaces makes it an ideal location for many medical practices."

Colliers is handling the leasing of this building, as well.
