DFL gubernatorial candidate Matt Entenza may not have much name recognition now (see our piece on him in today's paper) or voter support now (see any poll) but he appears intent on using his campaign cash to do something about that.

He's long been running television ads and now has added gltizy mailings to the effort.

All across the state, Minnesotans are finding "Minnesotans for Matt" literature in their mailboxes. Late last week On Friday, many got a multi-page, multi-colored mailing that told Entenza's personal story. On Saturday, the campaign followed up with Entenza's "Vision for Minnesota's Future."

While his first fight will be for DFL primary voters, the mailing do not appear to be targeted to likely Aug. 10 Entenza voters.

On Twitter, Republican Rep. Marty Seifert, who ran for the GOP gubernatorial endorsement, reported getting the mailers, as did Republican Party chair Tony Sutton and others who wouldn't exactly be in the small universe of folks pretty certain to vote as DFLers.

"I guess we are marked as dems on the DFL list," Sutton wrote.

Or it could be that Entenza has enough personal wealth to spend, he doesn't need to limit the lit.
